This chair was made at Niels Vodder Studio in 1953. Chairs of Finn Juhl are characterized by their beautiful curves that give them sculptural appearance and by the structure of the seats mounted as if they are floating apart from the frame. Their beauty is the integration of high woodcraft skills and upholstery skills. Instead of shaving the wood like ordinary chairs, the arm rests are made by carving so that an organic form is achieved.
